The January transfer window may be coming to an end, but it does not stop clubs from still putting in efforts to seal deals for their respective targets before they finally no longer have the chance to do so. The winter transfer window will be shut once January comes to an end finally and one of the clubs in the race against time to complete their transfer business is Premier League outfit Manchester City.
It was reported some weeks ago that Premier League club Leeds United joined Championship side Sunderland and Hibernian’s league rivals Celtic in the race for the player with the three clubs making inquiries one after the other in the bid to snap him up as early as they can. However, the clubs earlier linked with the move may now lose the player to the queue’s newcomers Manchester City as Pep Guardiola does not want to waste any time in securing the deal.
The City boss has reportedly informed the teenager that should he move to the Etihad, he will be drafted straight into the club’s youth group and will remain there until at a later time when he will be allowed to join the first-team should he impress the club’s chiefs.
